Vidya Balan’s Lucky Charm aka Kismet Connection shoot in Toronoto
On the eve of her Lucky Charm aka Kismet Connection shoot in Toronoto, Canada Vidya Balan would double check her dresses for the next day in front of a select few crew members every time. Before you jump to conclusions let’s find out why and how!
A unit member reveals to us, “Every evening after the day’s shoot, the Bhool Bhulaiyaa starlet would invite a few select crew members of her film in her room. Then she would take out all the dresses given to her by the film’s designer. Depending on the scene she was required to shoot for the next day, she would try out all the dresses one by one, much to the amusement of all present. At the end of it, she would select the dress which would get a unanimous thumbs up from all present as one for the next day’s shoot,” adds the unit member.
All this after Vidya was heavily criticized for the western attire she sported for the first time in Sajid Khan’s Heyy Babyy. She had wholly trusted her designer for that film, Manish Malhotra but in his experimenting he ended up messing her look. The Bollywood’s ace designer just recently admitted to his mistake as well.
In Lucky Charm, Vidya is paired opposite Shahid who in real is much younger to her in age but in the film she is supposed to play a girl who is younger to him. Says a friend of Vidya, “The look given to her is very much contemporary and western - that of an NRI girl. She doesn’t want any more criticism with regards to her clothing style that’s why she is not taking any chances.”
