Shweta Salve on her Bollywood debut
Says Shweta, “It is a romantic film about the youth of today who are disloyal and rebellious in nature which will highlight every aspect of today’s generation. I cannot reveal any details about the kind of role I am doing. I would just say that it is a typical Dharmesh Darshan movie and I always wanted to work in his movie. My Jhalak popularity has given me this big chance so I’m quite excited.”
She adds, “I’m starring opposite television actors Ejaz Khan, Manav Gohil and Sangeeta Ghosh so we are enjoying our shoot. Also, there is no specific type of role I am looking for. It should be challenging and interest my creative talent which is needed for the growth of an actor.”
So have you left television? “I’m not interested in doing typical saas-bahu shows as nowadays it has become monotonous. But if I get a chance to do reality shows I will do it. Last year I was seen in Ustaad Ke Ustaad and Nachle Ve with Saroj Khan and I was very happy with it.”
Bhanvraa is expected to release by mid 2009. Shweta’s earlier television shows include Hip Hip Hurray, Kitty Party, Left Right Left and Thodi Zameen Thoda Aasman.
