Sanjay Dutt and Govinda will be playing together in comic movie after five years
The king of comedy, David Dhawan is all set to direct Sanjay Dutt and Govinda in a comic caper. The two will be sharing screen space after a gap of five years.
While Mr David Dhawan remained unavailable for comment, Sanjay Dutt’s business manager confirms the report saying, “The talk are on for the three of them to do a film together and nothing else can be said because the film is at a very nascent stage of production.”
Even Govinda’s business manager, told us very excitedly, “Yes, Govinda is doing a comedy with David Dhawan and Sanjay Dutt.”
Govinda was a reigning comic actor during his time and displayed perfect comic timing in Partner last year while Sanjay Dutt did a spectacular job playing the title role of Munnabhai. The pair was last seen together in 2003 Ek aur Ek Gyarah in which they played thieves caught between a good cop and a bunch of crooks.
Jodi No.1 had them portraying Jai and Veeru, two criminals on Mumbai Police’s Most Wanted list. Obviously there is a comic twist to it.
The hit pairing started with Haseena Maan Jaayegi in which they played two brothers, Sonu and Monu wooing their costars Karishma Kapoor and Pooja Batra.
All three films were directed by David Dhawan. Let’s hope the magic mantra of this terrific trio works again.
