“Jab We Met” to release on October 26
Studio 18, which has been assigned the distribution for the film, Jab We Met, by the worldwide distributors, The Indian Film Company, has announced that the film will release on October 26. Commenting on the date, Utpal Acharya, national head, domestic distribution for Studio 18, says, “The release date has been chosen with careful deliberation, keeping in mind the upcoming festive season.
This date will allow a maximum playtime for the film, since Ramzan will have concluded two weeks prior and Diwali will be 15 days away.” This year Diwali and Id are 20-25 days away from each other.
Produced by Shree Ashtavinayak Cine Vision Ltd and directed by Imtiaz Ali, the film is a musical romantic comedy set in North India, starring Shahid Kapur and Kareena Kapoor. Acclaimed music director Pritam has composed the score for the film. Whilst the music for the film is set to release on September 18, the songs have already garnered a great response from mass channels where they have aired.
