Maanayata is sure taking being Mrs. Sanjay Dutt seriously. She has now convinced the actor to change the name of his soon to be launched production house from Sanjay Dutt Productions to Sanjay and Maanyata Dutt Productions.

“Maanayata wants the world to know where she fits into Sanju’s life. She has received a lot of flak from a lot of people who aren’t happy with their alliance. But Maanyata has a message to send out to everyone that she is here to stay,” says a source, “The family doesn’t want them to be married. Sanju is extremely emotional and they know they can’t do anything about it once he has decided he wants to do something. Sanju had already decided about launching his company. In fact Maanyata encouraged him to launch the company in the first place. She was also searching for property for him to have his office. Now with the official launch a few weeks away Sanju has decided that he wants the company to be called Sanjay and Maanyata Dutt Productions.”

So is the change in name just that?

“No…not at all. Maanyata is going to be actively involved in the working of the company. It’s not just going to be in name only. Sanju expects her to run the show when he is away filming for other movies,” says the source.

Maanyata had been living with Sanjay Dutt for over a year in his home at Imperial Heights in Mumbai before the duo tied the knot according to Hindu customs on Monday, February 11th 2008. But interestingly Dutt’s sisters Priya and Namrata, his brother-in-laws and his secretary of many years Kaleem as well as most close friends gave the marriage a miss as well as the reception that was held at Seijo in the evening.
