For her role in Vishal Bharadwaj’s Ishqiya, Vidya Balan is leaving no stone unturned. She is getting into the skin of her character by learning a special language and dialect for the film. And now here comes the clincher.

A source on the sets reveals that Vidya’s been on cloud nine recently thanks to Ishiya again. Reason? The actress just finished a ten day work shop with her idol Naseeruddin Shah who also stars in the film along with Arshad Warsi.

A source close to the actress revealed, “The character that Vidya is playing in Ishqiya is a very complex character which is very difficult to enact. Vidya thought that the way to emote the character on screen was best learnt from Naseeruddin Shah because the veteran actor was a master at it. She was ecstatic to be discssing cinema with the master himself.

There is a saying ‘history repeats itself’ and for Aamir Khan history has indeed repeated itself. In 2002 his first home production Lagaan was nominated for the 74th Academy Awards in the Best Foreign Language Film category before loosing out narrowly to No Man’s Land. His Rang De Basanti was also nominated for the prestigious awards. This time around his directorial debut Taare Zameen Par is again going to the Oscars.

The entire nation has set its eyes on the Academy Awards as ever since Taare Zameen Par released. It was instantly touted to be a Oscar material. In the recent years perhaps no other Indian movie has had such a consensus while being nominated for the prestigious awards. The movie which portrays the story of a dyslexic kid played by Darsheel Safary is perhaps India’s best entry into the Oscars.

Critics feel Taare Zameen Par has better chances than Lagaan because of its universal appeal. Also movies like Lagaan and Namesake have created better awareness for Indian movies in the minds of the global audience. On the other hand with its unique Bollywood grammar it may face difficulty in conveying the message to the international audience.

Shahrukh Khan has been keeping a low profile for quite sometime now following the infamous spat with Salman Khan.

However, the recent serial blasts in his home town Delhi seems to have forced him out of the closet.

He has now appealed to the people, particularly the youth, not to indulge in terrorist activities.

King Khan said that he is hurt and ashamed by the recent incidents. He requested the people to keep communal harmony and is hopeful that everything would turn out good. He also appealed to the youth not to take terror route.

Bipasha Basu aka Bips is all set to cast her ‘jaadu and nasha’ on screen once again! And this time it is in Sanjay Gupta’s Pankh directed by Sudipto Chattopadhyay. Yash Chopra is coming back to direction after a gap of four years with his yet untitled romantic next. The filming for which begins in 2009 January. He has managed a casting coup of sorts with this one.
