After his extraordinary performance in Gandhi My Father, Akshaye Khanna’s next release was going to be Race. However, to much of our surprise, we have learnt that Akshaye has made a special appearance in Yash Raj’s Aaja Nachle.

Akshaye shares the screen space with Madhuri in the film. He is Madhuri’s opponent in the film however; his is not a negative character. Interestingly, Irrfan Khan also does a special appearance in the film.

Yash Raj has always had this surprise element in their films with big stars making appearances in the film. Watch out for these two dynamic actors in Aaja Nachle.

Shah Rukh Khan forthcoming film, Viveck Vaswani’s Dulha Mil Gaya, has been on the hold for quite some time. The film was delayed because Shah Rukh gave preference to his home production Om Shanti Om. King Khan, it is heard, hasn’t given dates to his producer-friend Viveck yet to shoot the remaining portions. Only eight days of shooting remain but the actor hasn’t given his dates yet. Priya Dutt, the Congress MP and sister of film actor Sanjay Dutt, today said that no special preparations are being made for her brother’s return from Pune’s Yerwada jail after he was granted bail by the Supreme Court.

Commenting minutes after Sanjay got bail in a case connected with the 1993 Mumbai blasts, Priya said, “A good homemade food and a good bed for him (Sanjay) to sleep are all he would be provided with, when he returns home.”

She said that her family’s struggle would continue as Dutts have already filed a case in the Supreme Court challenging the special TADA court’s verdict that convicted Sanjay for illegally possessing weapons and awarded him six years of Rigorous Imprisonment under Arms Act. (Read the article)

Aamir Khan has stood by his comments on Black after Amitabh Bachchan taking offence had given interviews posting his views about the actor’s criticism of his Best Actor, National Award winner film Black. In his blog update, Aamir has also reacted to the backlash he has received on his smoking habit.

Producer-director Sanjay Gupta has dedicated an album to his estranged wife Anu with his forthcoming film Dus Kahaniyan. The director has found an innovative way to woo his wife back with a volume of Gulzar’s poems which he will be releasing alongwith the music album.

There are three CDs in the album. The first CD contains the songs. The second contains their remix, and the third comprises Gulzar’s poems. As soon one opens the poetry CD, one can see the words “To Anu” etched on the cover. “I’ve got Gulzarsaab’s poems recited in the voices of the entire cast comprising the 10 stories of Dus Kahaniyan.
