Abhishek Bachchan will be doing Aparna Sen’s (Mr and Mrs. Iyer, 15 Park Avenue) first Hindi film, Gulel.

She was earlier supposed to do, an English comedy, Jewelley Box with Govinda and daughter Konkona Sen but after the Partner star ditched her at the last moment, she is now starting work on Gulel. The original choice for the role was Ajay Devgan.

The National Award winning director states in this regard, “Abhishek has heard the script and liked it a lot. He has expressed his keenness to work with me for it. But the problem currently lies with his dates. Once they are sorted out, we can go ahead.” (Read the article)

Sudhir Mishra is all set to relaunch Karan Nath in Tera Kya Hoga Johnny. He faced the camera for the first time as a child artist in the film, Mr. India. Karan Nath’s career graph nevertheless remained stagnant with films like Yeh Dil Aashiqanaa, Tum, and Sssshhh and Loc Kargil.

However, Sudhir Mishra’s Tera Kya Hoga Johnny brings him again into limelight. Ekta Kapoor’s television awards ceremony to be held in December in the UAE is growing bigger by the day.

For bringing authenticity to a particular shot, award winning filmmaker Shyam Benegal’s made Ravi Kissen cycle non-stop for two hours. This happened at the on going Hyderabad schedule of his next, Mahadev.

The Bhojpuri superstar tells us, “I play the role of a compounder to the village doctor in Mahadev. There was this scene in the film for which Shyam babu wanted me to come cycling. This was necessary to bring realism to the shot. But then I took it up as a challenge and did it without any complaints.”

About Benegal, Ravi says, “He is a task master and a perfectionist. He will make you do a scene till he finds it perfect but at the same time he pampers his actors a lot. He is known for his serious films but I was pleasantly surprised that for the first time he is making such a youthful comedy.

Since I come from a totally commercial set up, I was captivated by the story which Shyam babu approached me with. It was important for me to work with a director who is a Dadasaheb Phalke winner. I have serious films like Tere Naam and 1971 to my credit, but Mahadev is a certificate in my career.” (Read the article)

Mumbai, While couples like Aishwarya Rai-Abhishek Bachchan and Kareena Kapoor-Shahid Kapur can’t seem to get enough of each another, Bipasha Basu feels she spends ample time with her boyfriend John Abraham.

“We’ve more than enough time together. While we’re in Mumbai, we are always together after shooting. And while we’re on separate outdoor locations the time we get to spend away from each other is very important for our relationship. We can’t be together constantly,” Bipasha told IANS.

Though Bipasha is not on tenterhooks, her fans, who respond to her on her website, are very concerned about the future of her relationship with John.

“They keep reading all these stories about an impending break-up. And they write hurt and angry letters. ‘How can you break up?’ It’s sweet to see our fans being happy in our happiness.
